Of course you can, but mentality in Russia is very different from Europe and USA, may be you should consider to move somewhere in Europe in this case. Russia is not the only country with white people 🙂

Your been "white" will get you green light to skin heads. Bon Voyage.

I think you had better come up with a better story if you want to go through immigration.
You will also need to have very deep pockets as you will pay out of your nose for all paperwork.
You will need to prove you have some sort of tie to Russia other then just liking the place.
I am going through immigration myself at the moment, moved to Hungary.
My husband and son are both Hungarian citizens but as an American, I am considered as someone from a 3rd country, not another EU one.
I am paying many times more then others to get my paperwork.
Actually, I am considering just chucking the whole deal and going to Hawaii.
I am half Ukrainian myself but don't think even they would take me in.

Why would you? It may not be as nice as you expect..
Anyway it IS possible. But the best solution imo, if you want to try local life, is get employed here either in a Russian company or in a Russian branch of an international/American firm. Then you will at least get a chance to see life in Russia from the inside and make a better judgement if its the right place for you and your family (or your future family) to settle
lenia says
Of course. You will need to get in touch with the Russian Embassy in your country.
