I heard that Dmitri Medvedev is going to replace Putin’s people, or pruge them in favor of his own people http://www.telegraph.co.uk . is what will happen next going to be similar to what Stalin did to Trotsky?

No. Despite what the British press may say, Putin is not a madman. At any rate, he'd have an awfully hard time usurping the President and maintaining his credibility.
