Question by : Is Russia a civilized country? How are Russia’s relations with China and the US?
Is it a normal country like European ones or the US, or is it like the Fascist Theocracy of Russia?

It was very civilized, now it’s a little more like Mexico, but yes, still normal. They have good relations with the whole world.

They are not actually like an average European country; still have problems with democracy. Journalists are not totally free to write and say what they really think, and some of them have been killed, like Anna Politkovskaja. If you are a businessman and you are not "in line" with Putin's plans you can end up like Mikhail Khodorkovsky.
But still, some nearby countries are in worse conditions. Belarus for instance.
You can't expect Russia to turn to a full democracy from dusk to dawn, they lived around 70 years under a totalitarian regime. But they will complete their transition sooner or later.

Some people would argue that the US is a Fascist State, but of course Russia is civilised but the Gov still has Fascistic tendencies.
Their relationship with the West is/was still shaky especially re The War on Terror, Iran, oil, arms etc.
