Is the book War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy worth reading?

Question by Reid C: Is War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy worth reading?
I am a 15 year old and I have recently just gotten into reading alot. I am interested in reading many of the books that Alexander Supertramp/Christopher Mccandless read. I want to read War and Peace, but it just seems so long, for a book I know little about. So my question is: Is it a book worth reading, especially for a 15 year old boy who is not a bookworm or a nerd, and likes to think he is similar to Christopher Mccandless.

well…its a classic so you if your not a bookworm or nerd (lol) then its not worth it really. That book takes commitment. I know it sounds funny, but its one of those books where you may find it interesting from the very beginning or very boring. Just depends…but for how you described yourself probably not.

It's a good book, very long. You don't need to read it at your age, it'll be a better read for you in about seven years. I'd wait if I were you, but what you do is up to you.
