Question by Jacob: Is there a big difference in quality between AK-47 manufacturers?
Like a Norinco compared to a Bulgarian, or an American made compared to a Russian made.
I am talking about Semi-Automatics by the way.
And would you see a huge difference in quality or accuracy between a new $ 300 norinco, and a new $ 600 russian of the same type?
And could anyone point me to a website which would list prices for them?

Norincos look a little rougher than the rest of them, but they are my favorites. Russian ones are the nicest looking ones, Bulgarians are decent, no complaints from me about bulgarians.
If you can find a 300 dollar Norinco AK of any kind let me in on it.
American made (like the ones made with all American parts) are absolute garbage, even the US compliance parts are trash, the only reason they exist is because of the stupid 922r compliance laws (I believe that the 922r compliance laws have nothing to do with stopping crime, but rather protecting the trash parts industry here in the US, our barrels arent even chrome lined).

I have an AK-47. It was a gift from my youngest Son. It shoots every time and is accurate. I don ‘t care if it is a $3,000 AK (Since it was a Christmas gift, I doubt it was that expensive. I know it wasn’t ‘t). But, I like it. If ISIS or ISIL or IS shows up……Shame on them. I will shoot “DEAD” center.

Despite what Joshua says, the 922 parts are not "trash". The tapco g2 trigger is a major improvement over most ak triggers, since they reduce the trigger slap to almost nothing. It only has to be made and stamped in America to be compliant, and there are many companies that make ak parts. Just like anywhere else, some things will be good, some wont. Almost all fully American aks are made with chrome lined barrels, but many people wouldnt care whether they were or not. I would rather have it chrome lined, but many people love the Yugoslavian aks, which arent chrome lined.
If im not mistaken, The old (not saiga) Russian aks are the most expensive, followed by the Chinese polytecs. Polytecs are considered as some of the best aks out there, but cost a bit. Russian and Chinese aks are on the top tier as far aks go, followed by Bulgarian and Hungarian. I dont know where the American ones fall into. As far in quality/accuracy, i dont think youll see much of a difference between the Chinese, Russian, or Bulgarian. The Chinese will be worth more in the future though, since they are no longer importable.
