Question by Paul S: Is is possible for a user to be from Russian and is there proof that they live where they say they are?
A woman’s home was listed as Rosdale, Ks. but then in another email she stated she is a teacer in Nizhni Novgorod, Russia. Over the next 3-4 weeks I have no proof she is from there. She calls me but I can’t call her. Nothing shows up on caller ID, it’s just blank.

Sounds like you are being scammed by someone. Has she started asking you for money yet for a visa to visit you? Or to prove to the US embassy she has enough money in the bank? Or that her mother requires a heart operation?
If she won’t give you her phone number, something is really fishy.
Be careful as people are being scammed every day by the mafia. That woman you are speaking to is most likely already married to a Russian, and you are only 1 out of 100 different men she is being paid to contact

Oh, myyyy…. Sounds like a big scam against another American. There can be users in Russia, also from Kansas. Do you have a last name for this person? Have you tried to find her information that way thru google, or whatever?
Be very, very careful here.

It is very possible. Phones are expensive in Russia, and it is not unusual for them to be community phones. Her actual address may be here, and you may want to go to a Russian Map and look at the size of the town and where it is.
Russian Federation, Nizhegorodskaya oblast, Nizhniy Novgorod
Poverty is still a way of life in the backwoods of Russia. Ask her specifically why you cannot call her and you may find she is using a Federal Government phone, and it isn't legal. I think the Caller I.D. blank is normal.

It is interesting. If money is involved.. why not pass as a normal caution, but maybe keep the relationship if you can.
