There are six different sub-species of tiger.
Amur (or Siberian), Bengal, Indochinese, Malayan, Sumatran, and South Chinese.
The Amur Tiger used to be known as the Siberian Tiger, and was found in Northern China, Mongolia, and the Siberian areas in Russia. Now days, Siberian Tigers are critically endangered, with only approximately 400 left in the wild, and they are only found in the Amur River Valley, an area partially in North Korea, China, and Russia. This area is NOT rain forest. Yes, they love snow.
The tigers you will find in a rain forest are Bengal Tigers, Sumatran Tigers, and Malayan Tigers.
South Chinese Tigers are extinct in the wild, and can be only found in zoos.

No. Siberia is cold. Tigers can live in freezing weather as well as tropical forests. Those that live in snow have a thicker fur.
