Question by bookie: Is vladimir Putin secretly running things in russia behind the scenes?
The only reason why vlad isnt president is because the constitution of russia would not let him but do you still think that Vlad is running everything as prime minister.

Just curious about this specific topic.

head of government: Premier Vladimir Vladimirovich PUTIN (since 8 May 2008);

While they obviously work together closely, each have their own areas of responsibility, their own strengths and weaknesses, and their own opinions. There is nothing “behind the scenes” about it: Vova really is the legal head of government. He simply has different responsibilities and authorities than he had before last year.
