Paper topic on Pushkin and his story “The Queen of Spades”?

Question by Jason: Alexander Pushkin and his story “The Queen of Spades” Any ideas for my paper topic?
I have to write a 10 page paper about Alexander Pushkin and his story “The Queen of Spades” – Any ideas for a specific topic? I would REALLY appreciate it.

~I certainly would NOT write about obsession and white whales. Given that part of the assignment is that you be able to think and devise a topic, I can’t bring myself to help you cheat this week. Maybe later. If you’ve read the story and can’t come up with something that will fill such a small amount of paper, maybe you should read it again and this time pay attention. How can you read Pushkin and not have any ideas? You should be able to get 20 pages out of Tomsky’s grandmother alone.

Greed and Self Deception in relation to the Characters of “The Queen of Spades”. herman's greed and his realiance on the idea of the trick being real. the image of the ghost (we are not sure if that really happened or if he imagined it). lisaveta-wishing to meet with herman, needed to be resuced from her miserable existence. she decieved her self to think it can actually be real, acted in ways that were against the rule of victorian era by inviting him up to her room. she had a certain level of greed not financial but can be classed as an intense passion for hope. and there result, she lost the countess, and was embarassed, he lost money and went insane.
im doing a paper on it as i type and this is my focus.
let me know if it helps.
