A resident visa for Russia?

Question by 下载 华军…what does this mean?: What is the requirement for a resident visa for Russia?
I really want to go to Russia because I’m very interested about seeing it. It has been my dream ever since I started reading about the culture. My hopes of moving to Russia never actually went down. The majority of my penpals right now are Russians. If I go there I would like to meet them someday. Not only that but there are many landmarks I would like to see like the Kremlin. Here in US, there is nothing to do. Even the exchange students from other countries said it. I even hope to go to the top universities here in US to major on the Russian language.

residency may be difficult without a couple things i have. 1- a russian wife, 2- a flat (apartment). but then you may get one thing i think i will never have- control of the language. if you go to the university in russia, a student visa would allow longer stays. a tourist visa is good for up to 90 days, after extensions. get a penpal to help you with all the "red tape", expect delays and take it all in stride. a "vid na zhiteltsvo" is like a green card in usa. you can live and work legally. (i agree, there is nothing to do in usa- spend as much to white-water raft in a week as i spend in 2 months living in russia!
russia is very interesting. especially after you exit the BIG cities, moscow and st petersburg. they are also interesting, but LIFE is great in the "country"! work at the language, it will kill you. one step forward, three back!! (for me, anyway:) all the best!

An essential prerequisite to all other requirements for ALL visas – let alone a resident visa – Adulthood.
