If I go to Russian Nutcracker Ballet, should I dress formally?

Question by Chantel: If I go to a performance of the Russian Nutcracker Ballet, should I dress formally?
I’m planning to go the a performance of the Russian Nutcracker Ballet, but I am unsure on the formality of the event. What should I wear?

Thanks!

If you’re going to any Russian event….dress formally. Russians dress up everywhere they go pretty much, and a ballet is like a chance to show off. I know that there will be Americans, but since the show is Russian there will still be a lot of formal looking people.
You don’t need anuything special….just like a skirt tights and shirt. If you don’t like skirts try just plain black pants and a shirt preferably that’s either really hot, or has a famous label on it.

What do you think? Answer below!

I dance in the Russian Nutcracker Ballet and I've realized that most people will just wear a nice shirt and a skirt with heels. Nothing too fancy, since it's not like you're going to the Bolsoi. 🙂 I hope you enjoy the show.
