Question by : Russian sailing ships with suns on them?
I have a small beresta box I bought in Yekaturinburg at the Church of All Saints which has three ships sailing on a river. The ships have suns on the sails. Why is this? Does it make reference to a specific fleet? Is it a symbol of the revolution (or in some other way tied to Tzar Nikolas II? There is also an image of a palace with four small cottages in the foreground. Do you know what any of this might symbolize?Thank you for anything that might help!!
