Question by Svartljus: Safety tips for a lone tourist in St. Petersburg and Pushkin?
I’m going with a tour group, so I wont really be alone most of the time. But I will be seeing a ballet in the Hermitage alone, and I will travel to Tsarskoe Selo alone as well. I speak only English and Swedish.
I’m also a 22 year old guy

Absolutely nothing to be concerned about. Like anywhere, don’t look for trouble. And you certainly won’t find any going to the ballet at the Hermitage. There are inexpensive busses to tsarskoye selo, and you can find someone selling excursions near the hermitage who will manage to communicate. Russians are a bit shy about using their English, which many of them learned, but don’t use much. Someone will help you if you inquire.
