Question by GDA: Should i have registration in Moscow if I am staying only for 3 days?
I am going to Cyprus via Moscow. I have some appointments in Moscow. Will live in my friend’s appartment. Is there any need to get registered?

no, you have to register if your stay is more than 30 days, and to avoid troubles just always have your passport and tickets with you

I believe it is required for a stay over 2 days even though you have to register it ithin 3 days. I would recommend it because the last thing you want is any problems..

Technically no. You have to register your visa within three days of being in the country and customs officials very rarely check for registration marks on leaving the country. But Russia applies the laws as and when it feels like it. The official advice is, when in doubt, don't risk hassle from Russian border guards.
