Question by okay: why would someone in Russia try to log in to my facebook account?
About 2 months or so ago, I got a message from Facebook as I was trying to log in saying, that someone from Russia had tried logging in to my account thru several attempts. The prompted message also said if I recognized the source as if I would have logged in from Russia. Which of course I did not, I am here in the United States. It doesn’t make sense. Is it just a coincidental thing or can it be something serious? Has anyone else had this happen?

as u they are doing multiple attempts, it means they dont have ur password but they wanna crack ur password using ur identity and personal information…..
So dont share ur personal information with unknowns…. specially those..which leads to your passwords….

Hi there.
It could have been an identity thief, if they could get enough details they could set up a fake id in your name and commit fraud with it. Keep your password safe!
Cheers, Steve.
