Question by Mike: What are the most well known of Tchaikovsky’s pieces for voice?
I’m looking for pieces that Tchaikovsky wrote featuring voice and there are a lot of them surprisingly. which ones are the most well known? Well, for that matter, which ones are the best?

From amongst his operas, ‘Eugene Onegin’ and ‘Pique Dame’ (‘The Queen of Spades’) are both the best known and arguably the most successful as creations as a whole.
Possibly the single most famous excerpt from any Tchaikovsky opera would be Tatiana’s Letter Scene, from ‘Eugene Onegin’:
