Question by cfa_pilot: Alexei Romanov only expected to live to 16?
I’m reading “The Last Days of the Romanovs: Tragedy at Ekaterinburg” and it mentions that the doctor didn’t think Alexei was likely to live to 16. Is this true? If not, how old do you think he would have gotten?
Yes yes, I know he had hemophilia. How old do you think he wold have lived though?

Alexei was cursed by a blood disorder called: hemophilia. He bled easily and almost died several times. Speaking of the Romanovs… have you read “The Romanov Prophecy” by Steve Berry? Good read.

I think he would have, he had hemophillia and he almost died several times. So I don't think he would have lived much longer, but maybe a little older than 16. He was around 13 I think when he was murdered.

He had hemophilia, so his blood wasn't able to clot, and back then there were few treatments and many patients died from bleeding before they reached adulthood. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.
