Question by : Was Khrushchev mummified like Stalin?
How was he buried?

No, he died of a heart attack in September 1971, and was quietly buried in Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. He was out of favor with the regime and they didn’t want to draw attention to him.

Stalin had Lenin mummified as he wanted to be seen as the legitimate heir. Stalin in turn was mummified when he died and his body was placed alongside Lenin's, but Krushchev had it replaced and buried in the Kremlin when he fell out of favour.

Krushchev himself was buried in a quiet cemetary in Moscow, by then he had fallen out of favour with the Soviet regime and was all but forgotten, certainly he no longer held any major offices.
