What a Siberian Train means?

Question by annepemmakitti: What is a Siberian Train story all about ?
Someone once told me to live my life in present because life is like a Siberian train. If you don’t do what you want now you will never have a chance to come back to where you were again, just like and Siberian train. Can someone please tell me what the detail of this Siberian train story is? Thanks

Hi Anne…To simplify the meaning behind what this may mean:
‘if you are too focused on the past or future you will miss out what’s happening now so take a chance and do what you want.’ The idea (metaphorical meaning) behind Siberian train means it’s going into nowhere man’s land. Siberia is considered no man’s land.

Siberian is the route humans took to first enter the Americas 16,000 years ago, in essence if you don't live happy and focused in the "here and now" then you're doomed to take the slow metaphorical train ride to mentally reside in the distant past. So learn the lessons of the past for reference but all that is history and life now demands attention on what's currently going on and planning for the future.
