Question by clever900 c: What are good stretches and techniques to getting a good toe touch/russian?
I really need help to get my russian(middle dance leap). So what are some good techniques and stretches?

What i did to get my toe touch was stretch my center split everyday, and whenever i was in an open space i practiced doing a toe touch because the more you practice the jump the higher you will go in the air.

one stretch that most people don't know about that really can improve your toe touches is to sit on the ground comfortably in your straddle, not as far as you can go.
sit up straight and place both hands flat behind you.
start with the right leg and lift it just so it's off the ground and circle it in a clockwise motion.
switch to the left and then try both at once.
just start off with maybe five or ten depending on your level of discomfort.
increase the number of rotations everyday by 5.
this helps to get a better rotation in the air.
