What are some examples of Russian mythology?

Question by auror_granger1: What are some examples of Russian mythology that are still prevalent in today’s world?
We are supposed to write a paper of how Russia has not changed since its beginning. My topic is on mythology and folklore. What are some examples that show that Russian mythology is the same from past to present.

there is a special creature that is called “domovoi”. he keeps your house, it’s not a ghost. People in villages still belive in him, although it’s a pagan, since Russia was a pagan country. I also know about “leshiy”. “Leshiy” is like a devil, he lives in swamps and forests. I think you’ve heard about baba yaga and kashey bessmertniy, the heroes about russian fairy tales. i don’t have enough space here, but if you’re intersted e-mail me.
