What are some world famous ballerinas?

Question by Mary: What are some famous ballerinas?
My dance teacher told us that next week will have to pretend that we are a famous ballerina. She is going to ask us who are going to be that day. I don’t really know any names of famous ballerinas. I need some names and ideas of who to be. Thanks

Darcey Bussell, English ballerina. She was quite tall and a strong dancer, now she teaches.

Sylvie Guilliem – French ballerina. She is still dancing, more contemporary than ballet these days. She is incredibly flexible.

Margot Fonteyn, petite dancer (now deceased), famous for her portrayals of characters, not a strong allegro dancer

Anna Pavlova (now deceased), Russian, famous for her interpretation of Odette in the Dying Swan solo and many other roles.

Also some other names are:
Svetlana Beriosova
Lynn Seymour
Marjorie Tallchief
her sister Maria Tallchief (both of native american descent)
Antoinette Sibley
Pearl Argyle
Rowena Jackson (NZ ballerina)
Nadia Narina
Suzanne Farrell – american
Kirkland Gelsey
Ulanova Galina

some older ones from history are:
Marie Carmargo
Carlotta Grisi
Marie Taglioni
Fanny Elssler
