Question by : Russian Facial Features?
My name is Alysa and I am full blooded Russian on both sides of my family. My father is from Vladivostok and my mom is from Irkutsk. I have been studying biology and how people whom are descended of certain countries have common physical features. I kind of took a look into my own heritage and notice that Russian people tend to have a smaller head structure. But mine is rather Oblong. I also have a slightly long nose with a slight bump and I also read somewhere that russian women have feminine noses. One last thing, I am the only one in my entire family whom is pear shaped. I know i’m not adopted, but I tend to not look “Russian” according to what I have been studying.
So my questions;
Are there Russian women out there with long faces?
Am I the only Russian with a not quit feminine nose?
And how many women are there in Russia with a pear shaped body?

There’s no “full blooded Russian” cause “Russian” is not an ethnic name unless it refers to the medieval Rus. So called “ethnic Russians” are predominantly Finno-Ugric or mixed. Russia is an empire by its structure rather than an ethnic state, so any talking about Russian typical appearance is pointless. The way a Russian looks like depends on his or her ethnic background.
Long faces… There’re Russians with any type of faces you can imagine. Period.
What is “feminine nose”? A mongoloid snub little nose? Then neither of my ethnic Russian (pure Slavic as opposed to Finno-Ugric) female relatives ever had “feminine noses”.
“Pear shaped body” aka “big hips and small bust”? Never researched it actually, but I think as opposed to this feminine look you’ll find as many Russian women with small hips and manly figures.

Just like women (and men) of every other race and nation, there will be common physical features, and more uncommon ones. For example, in China, 50% or more of their population has the double eyelid feature. On the other hand, only 25% of Koreans and Japanese (who belong to the same race obviously) have it.
Anywhere you go, there is a range of people who have diverse looks and different features, especially among Caucasians.
In answer to your questions, I don't think anyone can tell you for sure, but I am pretty certain that there are just as many Russian women with longer faces, a feminine nose and a pear shaped body as anywhere else!
