Question by Sungirl: What countries have been part of Russia at one time?
Actually part of Russia, not part of the soviet union. For example, Ukraine used to be a part of Russia but then gained independence. I think that Belarus and Latvia were also once part of Russia?

I think every country that was a part of the USSR was a part of Russia ca. the era of Peter the Great and later, plus Finland and parts of Sweden and Poland.

I certainly don't know the full answer to your Q, but to add to Elmyr's contribution, I think parts of Romania may have been Russian at one time, and Alaska was too, curiously enough. Areas on the China-Russia border have probably swapped 'ownership' now and then, and there are islands whose sovereignty between Russia and Japan is in dispute (Kuril Islands, I believe). Lithuania used to be much larger and encompassed parts of what are now Russia, I'm pretty certain.
Hope this helps.
