When I was a kid, my great grandmother served them with goulash, roast pig tails,or pickled pigs feet. It may sound strange, but it was good and filling.

Serve as a main dish with onions sauteed in butter & topped with sour cream. Or serve them as a side to lamb chops or pork chops with sauteed apples & cinnamon, & sauerkraut. Makes a good side with Brats.
Perogies? We just have them with a salad or somthing simple also sausage is great with them. They can get Filling so nothing to big. Hope i helped =) Also, Sour cream or bacon bits or even salsa can be good on them to add more flavour. While your cooking them you can frie them with onions as well.

A friend always serves them with Kielbasa and brown gravy. On occasion, we also add sauted mushrooms.

As a side with any meat as you would a potato…just saute some onions in butter and serve over the cooked pierogis.

we always pair them with something extremely flavorful (steaks, sausage, etc.) they're kind of bland on their own so we like to spice it up.
