I think he has puppet strings attached to all his body parts and that Putin is on the other side of those strings.

Medvedev is a boy who still plays with toys. He is happy to get IPad or IPhone, to eat hamburger with Obama and to tell Schwarzenegger "I'll be back", but he does nothing for Russia, his MotherLand.
He will never say " USA needs to understand that its neighbors are not its property". It is pity.

He is a throwback to the expansionist Soviets. Russia needs to understand that its neighbors are not its property. When the USA gets real leadership again and puts down these tinpot dictators and petty Muslim powermongers, we will stand up to Russia one again.

From what I can gather he is commited to building a strong Russia and extending its influence to former USSR republics. He is disconcerted by Lukashenka's attitude in Belarus which is probably historically the closest republic, culturally to Russia. He needs to sort out Russia'scriminal activity and the appalling bullying that occurs in its armed forces if he is to build on Putin's work and create a truly strong Russia that once again rises to superpower status.

Regarding foreign policy, I think he's awesome. He's backing Hugo Chavez and Iran which is a great way of making friends of your enemy's enemies.
I don't know anything about his domestic policies.
