Question by avengedXmaster: Are there any good Russian dishes that don’t have onion or dill in it?
I’m half Russian and I want to cook something Russian, but, I don’t know any recipes that don’t know any that don’t include onion or dill. I’m allergic to onion , and i just hate dill so yeah, could anyone help me out?

well… the simple answer is no.
But you can always leave them out of “some” of them and they should be fine like cabbage rolls, perogies, borsht, stroganoff etc. You don’t really even need a substatution, just leave em out and they should still be good. Not as good imo, but still fine to eat as “most” of the flavors aren’t dependant on the onions and dill.
So in general, I think most of the dishes have at least one in… but leaving them out won’t hurt them… much. 🙂
Good luck

Make one of the traditional Russian favorites – PIROZHKI / ПИРОЖКИ. Use stewed or fresh fruit (apples, cherries, apricots, chopped lemon, etc), jam, or cottage cheese or even a vegetable filling, e.g. mashed potatoes and mushrooms; egg and cabbage).
