i believed that Anastasia/ maria did survived. there are so many discrepancies and technicalities in proving she died along with her family. the DNA test and other tests are also questionable. for these year, yes she is dead now but maybe she mothered a child or children. and these child or children of her has the sole rights of the multi billion dollar fortunes( approximately higher than 45 billion dollars) of the imperial family. time will tell, the world will know that the princess survives the brutal murder and because she is the only surviving Romanov she is the sole heiress of all the romanov fortunes and maybe also in the throne. but now she is dead, her descendants has the legal rights. i just also add that there are so many experts questioning the credibility of the flawed experiments and the blood soaked evidence. and also there are more evidences suggesting Anastasia or maria had escaped.
2nd Amendment Militi says
I met Maria Rasputin in the late 1970s in Los Angeles. Jack Manahan, who was allegedly and to me evidently a CIA agent investigating Anna Anderson, had manipulated us into meeting. She sarcastically denied to me that Anna Anderson was Anastasia, said Anna was a nut like me, maybe to test me. I simply agreed she might be right but that the governments had done many things to make me think I was Anna Anderson's child by frozen embryo experiments in the late 1940s. Yet, she was still friends still with Anna. She also arranged for the cemetery keeper to recognize me from a photograph so that one day, when I chanced by her cemetery, they recognized me and let me in, referring to me as the Tsar. Well, the oldest male child of Nicholas II's surviving daughter might be in line to the throne rather than any other Romanov. How did she know I'd visit the cemetery? Did they drug me and give me a hypnotic command to do so? Possibly. Commands during unconsciousness will be carried out by the brain and it's how the sleeping mind controls the waking mind, so much so that the waking mind may think it's had prophetic dreams of the next day. Maybe the dead influence the sleeping mind. Anna, I think, showed signs of this kind of compulsion, indicating she was possibly possesed by a friendly ghost or several. Many people like her "remember" being Romanovs, and that is one of the signs of spiritual influence; it's the memories of the dead impinging intimately on your brain. And her resemblance to Anastasia is odd because I think Anastasia's skull in the mass grave is a young girl's. The DNA tests prove nothing except to a very few technicians and manipulators of the tests, certainly not to ordinary people, which means the US and the USSR have agreed to agree. Anna Anderson achieved one thing. She made Romanovs everywhere doubt their legitimacy to inherit the throne. And she gave Russia something to manipulate. Will I be killed? Will my alleged siblings? Probably not. We're useful. So long as there is doubt, Russia feels free from Tsarism. What is sad is that Tsarism was never the problem. The problem has always been crises democracy and its self serving politicians tends to neglect. For such crises, a Tsar is needed, and the 2nd Amendment actually says so, which is why it is feared by the US as much as Tsarism is hated by Russia. If only we had democracy but with an OWNER to make sure it doesn't ruin us all, then this planet could become a heaven on Earth and the Romanov ghosts could be at peace and happy at last. Until then, I think they and Many other claimants to thrones, such as Jesus, will continue to be the most important paranormal phenomenon ongoing on the Earth.

She was killed. But I'll tell you where her myth originates from. When the Romanov's tried to escape from the Bolsheviks, they took some of the jewellery with them. Anastacia put the diamonds under her dress, so when the Bolsheviks shot at them with their rifles, they had to shoot Anastacia a couple of times because the diamonds protected her. This, obviously, triggered the imagination of some people.

They found the remains of most of the Romanovs several years ago. Czar Nicholas, Czarina Alexandra, and all but one of the girls. One of the girls and Alexei were missing, but the remains of those two bodies were found and identified last year.
It is believed that Anastasia was in the mass grave and it was Marie that was found with Alexei.
Where they found the bodies corresponds exactly with an account left by one of the executioners. DNA was used to confirm their identities.
The woman who claimed to be Anastasia (Anna Anderson) was found not to be related to the Romanovs at all.
Keep in mind that Anastasia would be nearly a hundred years old by now. I think its time you let her rest in peace.

It is proven that the DNA for Ana Anderson was not the same as Anastasia and I believe she was killed with the rest of the family in 1918 at Ekaterinberg. It is out of distrust of the USSR and a romantic look that probably proposed some of the theories saying that Anastasia survived the killing.

Well as the story goes, she was shot and thrown down an acid filled mine shaft to a mass grave with her family by the Bolsheviks, but somehow they say that she survived…

My understanding is that they found her remains with the rest of the Romanov Imperial family – proved by DNA testing.

with the discovery of the last two bodies a while back, all the romanovs have been accounted for, some question which sister was found with alexi's cremated remains ,but all of them have been conclusivly established as being killed by the bolshevics..the other members had been accounted for,but there were two missing alexi and one of the girls, belived to be anastasia, DNA proved the last two bodies found to also be the czars immediate family so thats all of them. No more anastasia mystery.

She was killed. They dug up the Romanov's remains a few years ago, and believe they found hers, too. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Duchess_Anasta…
for more information. Because the story is so intriguing, people like to remember the stuff about her being missing, and forget the stuff about her remains being found.
