There is no such thing as inexpensive caviar. Real caviar costs a fortune and comes from sturgeon fish. Cheap fish roe comes in black and red and can be bought cheap at the supermarket. Fish roe looks like but tastes nothing like real caviar.

In the US they have a couple, hackleback and paddlefish from Idaho, they farm sturgeon in both NY and Washington State and produce a nice black caviar, the one in the grocery stores like the red is dyed not naturally either, they is a place in Florida called Marky's and several other who have websites to look at the selection, do some research before you buy.

Does he like Caviar as in the Real caviar or just the cheap stuff found in regular supermarkets ? If he is a connoisseur in caviar you will have to put a bundle in purchasing caviar for him. Inexpensive caviar is just that # inexpensive # and even not close to # Caviar #
Perhaps you could go read about caviar to give you an idea ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caviar
If indeed he likes the regular ones found in supermarkets ? then any store will carry it.
