Stamped receivers are made from flat, thin pieces of metal. It makes the gun lighter.

Not going to get into if there is or is not a stamped AK47. Mikhail Kalashnikov is on film stating the facts of milled and stamped Ak47’s? I consider the matter closed. He is it’s father after all.

Stamped is a process of creating the receiver from a pressed sheet of steel. Milled is creating one out of a single block of steel. Milling is more time and material consuming.

Anyway. Durability and strength wise the milled verse stamped is no issue. Either will seemingly last forever. Value wise the milled is more valued.

A stamped receiver AK-47 does not exist, what you are looking at is a AKM parts kit.

There is no such thing as a stamped receiver AK-47 unless you are talking about one of the early prototypes. The stamped receiver 7.62x39mm AK is called the AKM.
