What is better Moscow or Saint Petersburg?

Question by Lover: Moscow or Saint Petersburg? What is better?
Hi, what do you think is a nicer city? What are the good and bad things about each of them, and where would you and most people prefer to live?

Which has richer people, which has better shopping?

Also what are the names of the rich areas in each of these cities? I know both have a lot of billionaires and millionaires, but in which areas of these cities have the highest concentration of wealth?

St Petersburg for me. Moscow has more wealth and it’s a fine place to visit with some incredible architecture as St Petersburg has but it’s more cosmoploitan in St Petersburg and it’s got a different outlook.
Port cities are usually like that. They see more folks from other countries, not just passengers but ships crews as well.
You get good shopping in both and you get some very good eating.
You get good parties too and in the summer in St P you get the Whte Nights parties lasting all night long. Other places have them too but in St P they really go to town with them.
Good times.

It’s also got the Marinsky Theatre where the Kirov ballet company is based. It’s called the Marinsky ballet company now.
I loved the name Kirov as many others did. They still use it sometimes on tour.
Lopatkina dancing and Valery Gergiev conducting, what a joy. Best in the world and I’m a Royal Opera House fan.
They did Swan Lake in Covent garden a few years back. Sellout every night!
Beats Moscow’s Bolshoi company for me but the Bolshoi is still good and the theatre is magnificent..
You get jazz clubs and any other kind of music in St P and in Moscow. Good walks round the parks and in St P there’s all that water everywhere. Good views.

You can get a cattle boat from St P as well…err, sorry, a ferry….to Finland or Vilnius.
Folks used to flock into St P from Finland and the three little Baltic countries to shop because it was a lot cheaper but those days have gone now and the cattle boats, which is what they were really called because they were packed solid are a lot less crowded.
