Question by Radman: Russian culture today – What is it like to live in Petersburg?
The answer needs to come from a Russian citizen. I am very curious about daily life and the structured roles of men & women in modern Russia society. I plan on visiting in the next year or two out of curiosity.

It is very much like America. People go about their day, whether it be work, school, or a number of other activities. It's a good city, with a lot of nightlife. It's very interesting and beautiful to see.

well, I am russian, i liked it there.. whoever said it has a lot of communism, that is true, it used to, but now relatives that r living in russia told me that it is a lot better and the whole place has changed dramatically. My parents r planning to move there but not because they dont like it here, its just they dont know english, but i would definitly like to visit russia again, St. Petersburg and Moscow. It will be very different from US though.. be prepared, there is a lot of walking.. like in NY, cuz there r also many russians there.. but it will be really nice to visit. HAVE FUN!!
