Question by Kelsey: If Moscow is 55 degrees latitude and 38 degrees longitude what is its direction from equator?
If Moscow is 55 degrees latitude and 38 degrees longitude what is its direction from equator (north or south) and prime meridian (east or west). This is a question I need help on for my Geography homework. I have 11 other questions like this with different cities, but if you help me with this one I think I’ll understand how to do the others. Please help!

Your coordinates are incomplete without the compass reference for both latitude and longitude.

The correct – and more accurate – coordinates for the city of Moscow is 55° 45′ 6″ North latitude, 37° 37′ 4″ East longitude.
