The AK rifle series has gone far and beyond the 47 to produce more durable and reliable rifles. Get one of those, as the look has generally remained the same, since that’s really the only reason someone would want one.

Arsenal sells readily available, brand new AK47-type rifles. they're very accurate and very well made. polymer furniture and modern metal finish.
Norinco & Polytech is from china, Norinco makes arms for the PRC military, they used to make guns for US civilian use too, many of them basically real AK47s built to US regulations. there were a few military-issue AK47s that some how got in, basically a standard military AK47 assault rifle wit ha semiautomatic sear & trigger group set. Others like the current production wasr series rifles, were civilian rifles with parts from previous service AK47 assault rifles.
Congress did not like Norinco much and banned import in 1994. but many Norincos made it into the US before that and can be found today.

Accurate?….. They all are… All feature "Practical Accuracy"….. I can take any AK and hit a 10 inch steel plate to 150 yards all day with my glasses off…. They are all designed to do this well……
If your talking bench rest competition accuracy then sorry — They will all disappoint….. That's not what those guns were made for…. If you want a competition target gun then by all means buy a bolt action rifle….. Otherwise, buy whatever AK47 suits your budget and get out there and practice…..
