Question by Jules: What is the Russian orthodox religion like?
So, I would like to go to a Russian orthodox church near my home but I don’t really know what to expect. What is a service usually like? What holidays do the people celebrate? How exactly do you need to dress because the person in charge (I don’t know what he’s called) told me to dress modestly. But, what exactly does that mean?

Wear a long sleeved t-shirt and trousers or similar. It should cover your arms and your legs and should be round-necked, not low cut. If you take a bag, bring a pashmina or something along in it too, so that you can wear it round your neck if you get cold or you can cover your head if the other women do. Note that tights, stockings, leggings, skinny jeans, etc do not count as leg coverings. Wide-legged trousers or bootcut jeans are best, but anything loose and not too tight or clingy is good. For tops, wear something plain, without a slogan if possible. Again, tight is bad, loose is good. Don’t wear sunglasses or a hat indoors. Wear your hair up in a simple ponytail.
Sit with someone you know and follow them – stand up when they do, try to sing along to any songs, copy their actions for prayer, etc. If there is an Order of Service, it may have responses on it, so the priest says something, then you reply with something else. Get a friend to write down a couple of the most likely ones to come up if you can’t find them written out anywhere.

about clothes – woman's head must be covered, and better wear a long skirt than trousers.

It's very similar to Roman Catholics, but without the infallible pope.
