Question by jrizzle77: What kind of electric adapter do you need to use an American laptop in Russia?
I’m about to go on a 3 week trip to Russia and I want to use my Apple MacBook Pro. What kind of adapter will I need to be able to plug my charger in?

Buy a Universal adapter from circuit city or walmart. It will work every where.

The adapter you are supposed to have already – that's the box attached to the cord. All you need is a different plug.
I always travel to Russia with my Toshiba laptop I bought in the US. And all I need is a plug – the rest does the AC adapter which was originally with the computer (it is even so written on it).
I once decided to experiment, so I connected through the extra adapter I got from the store. Needless to say the adapter burned in 2 minutes =(
