He wasn't evil. The nobility portrayed him as evil because he did what he could to fight for equal rights for the peasants and Jews, and he was anti-war at a time when Russia was entering WW I. Unfortunately the rumors and slander the nobility concocted to turn people against Rasputin was what became history. The common man and the poor don't write history, and that is the sector that benefited from Rasputin's proximity to the throne. He also tried to get the tsar to appoint cabinet members who were pro-peace and would lift the terrible restrictions on Jews (who were restricted from an education, the right to live where they wanted or to practice whatever profession they wanted). Rasputin was a healer and man of God. The evil ones were the Romanovs who slaughtered entire towns of Jews in massacres called pogroms, and killed common workers who came to the tsar to petition for better conditions. Rasputin never harmed nor killed anyone in his entire life, but the Romanovs have a lot of blood on their hands. So, who is the evil one?

I don't think he was evil, he was just very charming and influential. He was a regular guy but who could meet and befriend and become confidents and influential to some very powerful people.

Im going to give you the 'blackened banana" curse that I was given because of my interest in Rasputin.
I read a book written by a journalist about the Russian mystic and he begins the book with a 'quest' to locate the dead guy's "private parts", which were in the possession of a distant family member who was living in a small village in France. Apparently the big "R" was very and while he was alive an infamously well-endowed man, something that may have contributed to his popularity with the ladies (possibly even the Czarina) and when he was assassinated, it was removed for some inexplicable, freaky reason.
The reporter said that he was standing in the kitchen when the elderly female relation retrieved a package that looked to be a shoe box, when he peered inside he describe the object as looking like a large, blackened banana. Sooo now whenever I see a blackened banana, Im reminded of Rasputin's "silly bits", and now so shall you be too 😉
The curse of the "blackened banana", mwahahahahahaha!!!!

Rasputin really was not that evil. He just liked woman and drinking a bit too much. He could be kind of mean at times, such as when he referred to Alexandra, who all but worshipped, as being old and saying that he slept with her when he didn't. Even though he slept with many a woman, he wasn't completely terrible to his wife and he loved his children. He boasted that he never took a woman by force, and for somebody who has a reputation for being evil, he never killed anyone. He did not care about money, and he gave a lot of his away. While Rasputin is by no means a good person, he certainly was not evil.

Rasputin wasn't actually evil….Rasputin was a Russian mystic, born in a remote village, not very well educated, and born at a time when life as a peasant in Russia was quite primitive.
Rasputin sincerely believed that he had been blessed by God and was being used by God to help people.
Unfortunately, you have reached a point where you are not going to be able to find what you are looking for on the Internet, and you are going to have to get the more detailed information that is not to be found on the Internet anywhere ……from books.
The Internet is designed to give one a brief summary of topics, but not all the detailed information such as one needs to write good term papers and complete projects.
There are excellent books in libraries about Rasputin. One that does a fairly great job of explaining his circumstances and MAY give you enough information to allow you to complete your project is a book called Nicholas and Alexandra and written by Robert K. Massie. It is written so that it is not like slugging through a textbook and you will probably enjoy the book…but can flip through it until you find the chapter about Rasputin and read those.
Good luck! Rasputin is one of the most interesting people in all of history, because although he was a religious figure, his influence over the Tsar and Tsarina of Russia had a great deal to do with the downfall of their monarchy. He has remained a enigma to scholars for all these years, and continues to fascinate all who become familiar with his story.
