1. Do not stand with your hands in your pockets. This is considered rude (for men)
2. Patience is an extremely important virtue among Russians; punctuality is not.
3. Be alert and open to taking a drink or having a toast, as refusing to do so is a serious breach of etiquette.

– Do not tap the side of your face with a finger – it tells someone that they have 'lost face'.
– Do not put your thumb between your index and middle finger – it's vulgar, like giving the finger in America
– Never call a Russian or Ukrainian a "pig". It has different meaning than for Americans, and is offensive.
– Don't be late for a appointment. Although they aren't very punctual, they will expect you to be.
– Don't push your cultural views as better than theirs. It is where Americnas get the reputation for being "rude".
– Do not insist that America/England won WWII. They lost so many people in the war, and view it as a great victory for Russia. It is a sore subject, and they view our participation as minor and late.
– And if a man, do not dress too sloppy or show too much skin, as it will offend Russian women.
