Joe Stalin was many things, including a dictator & perpetrator of genocide. A writer he was not.

Mikhail Sholokhov won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1965.
Joseph Stalin was the Secretary General of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (1922-1953).
He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 and 1948 for his efforts to end World War II but did not get the prize.
