Question by sgwrist: What war was it when Russia was lacking guns and ammo? And what game simulates it? Correct my history?
Ok, I remember something from school and from some video games. Russia was put in war where one soldier was handed a rifle, then the next soldier was handed ammo, and that was due to the improper supply, also soldiers were shot if they didn’t fight in the war. Does this sound familiar? Can anyone help my history and also answer what video game simulates this as well?

Russia has been short of guns and ammo in many wars it fought in.
I believe the game you are referring to is “Medal of Honor”.
It depicts a true fact where the rifle shortage in World War 2 was so bad in many of their assaults, they were issued only one rifle and 5 round between two men. The men were ordered to charge at the Germans who were well entrenched. The casualty rate was extremely high as the Germans had artillery and nested machine guns. Behind them were their own officers who shot any of their soldiers that retreated.

It was World War II, more famously the Battle of Stalingrad as the Russians couldn't get supplies to their troops.
