What was happening during Stanislavski’s time?

Question by Del Prince: What was happening during Stanislavski’s time that influenced his theatre ideas?
What were the circumstances around him that influenced his ideas… i know his dad was wealthy so he could built theatre companise and organisations.. but anything other than that??

This link will give you background info. Being in Russia was enough influence. I know that he would rehearse with his company a play for at least a year.. Also he would improvise an entire play taking suggestions from the audience. And his acting style was a big influence in America as the start of the Method;
