He engaged and dismissed scads of them…as he was an absolute Tsar and had the propensity to get rid of anyone who seriously disagreed with him…..it cost him his throne and his life.

There is a great book that is very readable and gives you all the information that you want….it is called Nicholas and Alexandra and was written by Robert K. Massie.

Most libraries carry the book….as do most bookstores. It gives you a very good read …and lists all the events and the players….in a way that reads like the very best novel imaginable. Excellent work.

Past that, you’d need to go to the Wikipedia listing for the Tsar….and probably click on nearly every link the article will give you for the lists of the ministers, and the various Dumas members.

He was one of the most tragic figures ever to hold a throne…..one of the nicest people in the world…but just not intellectually capable of grasping the idea that he had to follow the advice of all the people who desperately tried to help him.

Even foreign diplomats were so fond of him as a person, that they risked his displeasure by trying to help him see the reality of his situation….as far back as his decision to go to war with Japan.

He still had uncles and relatives….even his dear mother….who were more politically smart than he was and who endlessly tried to get him to follow different political options. So….not only did he have in his cabinet eminent people….but was surrounded by them on all sides. All of them did try to help him…..all failed because he refused to consider anything they said.

He was one of those people who just “never got it”…and it wound up costing him his throne and his life. Sad story if there ever was one….as he actually had endless opportunities to take different options….but just blew all of them.

He didn’t have a cabinet like modern presidents do….that is appointed and they stick around for a few years….he went through them like most people go through decks of cards….some only stayed in position a few weeks. The list of his cabinet members is LONG.
