Need to know how the Soviet Union got so far behind the more advanced countries and how the five year plans effected the economy under stalin’s rule.

The USSR inherited a country WAY behind the more advanced countries. Stalin brought it up with slave labor, industrial espionage, economic imperialism of captive countries, and deprivation of goods to the consumers.
