Wouldn't happen, the Chinese mentality is that anything that has been Chinese territory for a sustained period of time at any point in history is Chinese now (EG Taiwan, Tibet, Hong Kong) and will be forever Chinese, but that anywhere that has not been Chinese territory historically should never be under Chinese rule. It's why China pulled out of North Korea, and why it didn't grab territory after WWII, but still thinks that Taiwan and so on is rightfully Chinese.
The idea that China would take Siberia by force is as silly as the idea that Israel would try to claim Mexico as a Jewish homeland. If China had ideas on Siberia it would do it economically, probably by offering Siberia loans or infrastructure projects in exchange for mineral rights, just like it is doing in Africa right now.
Even if there was a war, it wouldn't go nuclear. Both China and Russia have large land armies and neither would want to use nukes on their own borders. They would also not go nuclear out of shear spite against the US. It would be worth a lot to them politically if the winner could rub the US's face in the fact that they won a conventional war without using nuclear missiles.
Alex Mahone says
Russia would fire nuclear missiles. But non of them would ignite because Officers sold their navigational equipment last christmas. Army would be mobilized. But they would be collecting tyres for the transportation till they,ll hear that moscow had fallen and govt ran to Saint Petersburg. Nextday headlines, "Russian leaders beg USA for help". "USA opens home front against Chinese".

The Chi-Coms are not as gullible as everyone thinks. They know better than to look west or north for more territory.
Rune B says
The Chinese would have to take it by force, thus entering war with Russia. Europe, and possibly the US, would be wary of a war with China, but might have no choice but to respond.
