Question by Stan H: Where can i purchase an inexpensive AK-47 semi auto assault rifle?
I figure that there are a lot of these guns out there, but idk. ALso, if there is a cheaper gun than this please tell where i can get this as well.

I see no problem with the new WASR-10s (look for a small triangle and arrow on the receiver). They corrected the trigger slap and loose mag problems on these. They are about $ 450 at my FFL with bayonet, scabbard, mag pouch, 2 x 30 round mags, and sling.
After a good cleaning and short break-in they cycle very reliably. If you are handy you can refinish the gun and improve the rough look for very little cash.
If it's your first gun I recommend staying away from the eastern-block rifles, they are fun to shoot but not as safe to operate as something American made.

Was at a gun show yesterday that had 'em going for $ 399.
There are many guns cheaper than that out there. I'm guessing from your question that you don't have a whole lot of firearms knowledge. In that case, I recommend a Ruger 10/22. It fires dirt cheap ammo, and you can add all sorts of new stocks and accessories to make it look more "military". New, they run under $ 200.

There are these places called stores. Why don't you go in one and take a look. If you buy online you have to have it shipped there anyway.
The cheapest is the WASR and thats still $ 450 at least.

Within the past couple years, the prices of assault rifles (including AK-47's) have skyrocketed. You are going to be paying a pretty penny for an AK. You can purchase them most likely cheapest at your local gun shows. You can also check online trading sites.

your best bet is the local police department auction. The police sieze thousands of these weapons every day. Just walk in to your local PD building, tell them why you're there and they'll be happy to assist you.
