the parents passed the genes.

Where did you get your stupidity? Were you born this way or were you dropped on your head as a baby?
Alan B says
Apparently Svetlana is correct on this one.
My wife is Ukrainian and has stunning looks. We were told that it is genetics by our local vicar.
He told us that there were many pretty girls who were burned at the stake as witches during the middle ages in western europe and that never occurred in eastern europe therefore genes were never passed on in western europe.
Not sure how true that is but its an interesting thought.

I don't think Russians or Ukranians look exotic – but maybe because I'm part Polish and my ex is Ukrainian. They look Slavic to me. It's just like people in Italy have certain features or people in Vietnam or people in northern India or people in Somalia.
Street Spirit says
What do you mean by 'exotic'? Everything that is different from what we are used to see in everyday life seems exotic, and more appealing to us. Say, Spanish women would look exotic for Russian men, and Russian men would look exotic for Brazilian women. Ancient Greek courtesans bleached their hair so to stand out among other black-featured women and they looked extremely exotic and attractive to men, because it was rare. It's a common trend for all ethnicities to particularly appreciate the things they don't possess themselves or they are short of. So, back to your question – 'Where do Russian women get their exotic look?" – they get this 'exotic look' exclusively in your head as an American 😉

Maybe it’s the Han influence on the bloodline in the east?
