I agree. Marie and Olga. but while Marie had this earthy beauty in her, Olga was classic and cool. Imperial circles, however, favored Olga as the more beautiful of the four sisters. I cannot agree more. Extant photographs of Olga show her to be poised and elegant. but then again, we have to consider she was the eldest sister and so she was able to live out her breeding while the three others were still gawky girls. Marie had grown to be a beautiful woman while in captivity in Ekaterinburg but this was smothered by the rigid simplicity of their situation. The picture of the four girls shorn of their hair because of the threat of typhus shows Marie's beauty even more. Hers is a face that contemporary people would associate with great beauty. Olga in comparison betrayed fear brought about by understanding of their perilous situation. The story of the Romanovs become even more tragic if we consider this aristocratic but gentle family would have to pay for the sins of their more guilty forebears.

Yep i think Tatiana had the looks and was known as a beauty but she was too much her 'mother's daughter' – too much like Alexandra.
Where Maria alot more independent, had the looks and the charms. A real flirt according to people who knew the real Maria.
Good books on the subject about the Tsars daughters.
