Question by : Why did industrial ouptut in the 1930s quadruple in the USSR?
…while the rest of the world was suffering from the Great Depression? Doesnt this prove the superiority of central planning to the market mechanism? The only reason the USSR went downhill was because Stalin’s successors denounced his regime, and subsequently introduced elements of a market system into the economy.
