Question by John: Why do Russian women abandon their kids if they are mixed race?
Please no one get offended by this I asked this question earlier in a different section and it got deleted so anyways… I saw this documentary on Youtube about Russian skinheads attacking immigrants or those that don’t look Russian and somewhere in the documentary it say something about Russian women abandon their baby because they were ashamed that the baby was mixed race. So if that is the case why didn’t these skanks kept their legs closed?

I’ve NEVER heard of this kind of cases. To the contrary, as a person who worked in this field I know that there are a lot of cases when the Russian women fight over custody of their children while divorcing their “foreign husbands”. The problem is that the Russian Federation doesn’t’ have international agreements on “international marriages” with the majority of the countries. The recent most high-profile cases are of Irina Belenkaya and Rimma Salonen (links below). In fact, from my own experience I know that there are dozens and dozens of cases like that.
The problem is even more complicated because the Russian courts are inclined to grant child custody to women (irrespective of their nationality, it’s historical tradition of the Russian judicial practice in this kind of cases) when, say, in Muslim countries the situation is absolutely opposite with fathers having priority in child custody cases.
So, unfortunately I cannot share your righteous anger as I’ve never come across with the cases you are talking about.

I am a woman of caramel colour originally from Brazil, I have lived in Russia for 7 years. I have encountered slight racism, people staring and muttering comments, not holding doors open if you are behind them etc…. The most violent thing that has ever happened to me was a man telling me I was not allowed in his store because there was a sign that said no animals allowed.
I have another fried who has lived here for 17 years ( since she was 9) And she has had some very violent attacks happen to her. She went out to a store years back and was repeatedly punched by a group of 5 men. Same year she went on the metro and was accosted by a group of men and women. No one on the train helped her and some even clapped. Many other small attacks have happened but now she carries bear mace on her and a small switchblade.
So, for those saying Russia is not racist, that is simply not true. Don’t even get me started on 4/20……………

You are WHITE that's the only reason you were not attacked! Many non -Russian children were attacked briuttaly murdered by Russian skinheads. When a 10 year old child is killed by a group of Russian teenagers who don't spend one day in prison it is not a nonsense. You are just ignorant, you have no idea what's going on in Russia,that's it.

Russia is a vast country. And many different people live there, of different nationalities. Russian people try to keep to their nation and race while creating a new family in most cases, but there are no strict rules on the question. People are absolutely free in their choice. And international marriages are not rare, especially in big cities.
There are no people of African origin in Russia, but there are native inhabitants of Asian race in Russia (Bashkir, Bouryat, Koreans and others). And because all these people live in the same country there are interracial marriages as well. This type of interracial marriage was not uncommon in the past and still takes place. There is no prejudice towards such marriages. Russian people don't condemn somebody else's marriage to a person of a different nation or race.
Russians are proud that they don't have racial problems.
Russian women are very children and family oriented, they NEVER abandon their kids of any race. Looking after the children is exclusively mother's duty in Russia.

I am a British guy married to a Ukrainian woman, and i have lived and worked in Russia.
All this crap about skinheads attacking foreigners is absolutely nonsense.
I have spent many nights in Moscow walking back from work and using the metro, and never had a problem or seen any trouble ( much more than i can say for cities in the UK and certainly America.)
Women in Russia do not abandon there children regardless of race.
People in Russia are more family orientated than just about anywhere else i have been

There are estimated 750 th abondoned children in Russian and only 10 % of them atr true orphans. More than half a million children have remained in institutions. Russian women are the ones who abondon their children regardless of race more often than any ethnic minorities living in Russia. You can look for children abandoned in 2011 for example.
if you look at the regions like Chechen republic you will find zero abandoned children, look typically Russian regions like for example Chelyabinsk region and you will find many pages of abandoned children.

Watching something on youtube about a select and small group of people (skinheads) cannot possibly determine the way an entire 170 million population country runs. I have never heard of what you are describing. My mother is half Mongolian and half Russian, and my father is half Russian half Jewish, and they both grew up in loving, stable homes.

Russian people have always been nationalistic, they always harassed minorities. It is just part of your culture. I lived in Russia most of my life, and not even one day passed without harasment. I grew up in Soviet Union when there were no skinheads, no ultranationalists, and yet discrimination was a huge problem for all minorities living near Russians. Every day there were children who would come to me and say ''you don't belong here'','' it is our land'', ''you eat our bread'', and I lived on my historical lands. I can't even imagine how people live in modern Russia, now when you are openly nationalistic and racist. In other words, don't talk about nationalsm or racsim if you belong to opressing majority. There is no racism for you as Russians are not harassed by minorities. I lived in several countries, and I haven't seen a country yet with so many nationalistic and racist people like Russia.
