Question by : Why do people from western europe move to Russia now?
Hi, i lived in Russia in the past few years and I noticed many people from countries of the European Union like France, Englands, etc started to move into Russia’s big cities like Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Samething i saw in China many Americans and Europeans move there for example to get jobs as English teacher. Is that because of the recession and the bad economy in America and most of western europe?

Well, they started moving to Russia many decades ago, but mostly for job prospects only. But the number of ones has definitely increased over the last decade. Many EU expats move to Russia mainly for higher salaries (USD 150K + ), some of them find it interesting to live in Russia (Moscow, specifically). I know a Dutch guy who moved to Russia 15 years ago and he has happily lived there since. Moreover he loves Moscow and says that sometimes he thinks Russia is his first home, not Holland.
Tastes differ but all they say gotta love Russia – if you do it pays you back.
